Sudbury-based startup aims to revolutionize electrical circuit mapping and management
Sudbury, ON. – The Sudbury Catalyst Fund, a $5 million seed capital co-investment fund based in the City of Greater Sudbury, is pleased to announce the closing of its investment of $250,000 in CircuitIQ, a Sudbury-based technology company revolutionizing the way commercial, residential and industrial electrical circuits are mapped and managed.

CircuitIQ’s patented circuit-tracing technology and advanced mapping software uses their wireless multi-circuit plug and play smart tool, the Power Mapper, to optimize the process of mapping and analyzing electrical circuits. By enabling simultaneous testing, the power mapping system can instantly locate multiple circuits and generate a circuit safety evaluation report, detecting and identifying active safety electrical issues including overloaded circuits, poor wiring conditions, deficiencies in electrical code regulations and more.

Established to accelerate the growth of scalable tech start-ups, the Sudbury Catalyst Fund brings together a variety of partners and angel investors eager to build Northern Ontario’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by investing in and supporting a diversified portfolio of high-growth companies. Administered by Nickel Basin Federal Development Corporation, in collaboration with NORCAT, the City of Greater Sudbury, the Greater Sudbury Development Corporation and with financial support from the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario (FedNor), the fund is focused on unlocking angel capital via co-investing in early-stage tech companies with high growth potential. The Sudbury Catalyst Fund’s investment in CircuitIQ brings the total amount of investments made by the fund to $1.22 million, following previous investments in portfolio companies IRegained, Verv Technologies and REPerformance.

Sudbury ON – Le Fonds catalyseur de Sudbury, un fonds de co-investissement de capital d’amorçage basé dans la Ville du Grand Sudbury, est fier d’annoncer la clôture d’un investissement de 250 000 $ dans CircuitIQ, une nouvelle entreprise technologique sudburoise qui entend révolutionner le domaine de la schématisation et de la gestion des circuits électriques commerciaux, résidentiels et industriels.

CircuitIQ a une technologie brevetée pour le dépistage de circuits et un logiciel de pointe pour la schématisation de circuits électriques qui utilisent son outil intelligent multicircuit sans fil à exécution automatique, le Power Mapper, qui optimise le processus de l’analyse et la représentation schématique de circuits électriques. Parce qu’il rend possible la vérification simultanée, ce système peut repérer instantanément des circuits multiples et produire un rapport d’évaluation de la sécurité des circuits qui détecte et définit les problèmes électriques actifs, comme les circuits surchargés, les déficiences du câblage, les manquements au code et à la réglementation de l’électricité, et plus.

L’investissement du Fonds catalyseur de Sudbury dans CircuitIQ fait grimper le total des investissements du fonds à 1,22 million de dollars, à la suite d’investissements dans IRegained, FORTAI, Verv Technologies et REPerformance.
