We organize and facilitate several workshops, peer-to-peer (P2P) roundtables, and networking events throughout the month! The calendar below features our events and events from our partners in the tech ecosystem in the City of Greater Sudbury.
Our in-house incubator is a co-location workspace offering our start-up tech clients access to hot desks, lockers, meeting rooms, and lounges – where you are encouraged to “hang out” and have “serendipitous collisions” with other like-minded entrepreneurs to share ideas, enhance your network, and discuss challenges and opportunities to help you expedite the building of your business.

NORCAT is a regional hub of the Canadian Digital Media Network. CDMN is a federal Centre of Excellence in Commercialization and Research (CECR). Dedicated to establishing Canada as a world leader in digital media (ICT + mobile), CDMN creates and enables connections and collaboration between entrepreneurs, companies, research institutes, government and intermediary organizations across the country. Funded through a partnership with FedNor, the NORCAT Innovation Acceleration Program is open only to registered NORCAT Innovation clients. Clients can access up to $10 thousand in grant funding through this program and engage the support of a third party contractor or consultant to help move the business forward.
FedNor is the Government of Canada’s economic development organization for Northern Ontario. Through its programs, services and financial support of projects leading to job creation and economic growth, FedNor works with businesses and community partners to build a stronger Northern Ontario.
The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) is a Crown corporation and development agency of the Ontario government that invests in Northern Ontario businesses and municipalities through conditional contributions, forgivable performance loans, inventive term loans and loan guarantees.
The Greater Sudbury Development Corporation (GSDC) works with community stakeholders to foster civic engagement, cultivate entrepreneurship, and stimulate the continuous development of a dynamic and healthy city.
Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) drives the development of Ontario’s economy by helping create new jobs, products, services, technologies, and businesses. In partnership with industry, OCE co-invests to commercialize innovation originating in the province’s publicly funded colleges, universities, and research hospitals. OCE also supports and invests in early stage projects, where the probability of commercial success and potential total return on innovation is substantial. OCE is furthering their focus on the development of the next generation of innovators through its entrepreneurship fellowships and programs for students and youth across Ontario.
Concierge is a single access point to funding, expertise, facilities, and global opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises seeking to grow though innovation. The only service of its kind in Canada, Concierge offers free, one-on-one assistance from expert advisors who provide customized guidance in selecting the most relevant programs and services to help you grow your business.
National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) has been stimulating wealth creation for Canada through technological innovation by providing technology assistance to small and medium-sized enterprises at all stages of the innovation process.
The MaRS Discovery Document offers an array of funding programs and services to support tech entrepreneurs in Ontario.
The MaRS Investment Accelerator Fund is a seed fund that assists emerging Ontario technology companies to bring their products and services to market. The fund provides a comprehensive platform of resources, people, connections, and funding that entrepreneurs and innovators can access to launch their new ventures. The IAF program is managed by MaRS and delivered through the Ontario Network of Entrepreneurs.
The Northern Ontario Angels is Northern Ontario’s premiere organization for entrepreneurs (looking for growth capital) and angel investors (looking for investments). The creative concept and foundation of this network was developed to take Northern Ontario businesses to the next level.
