A Plan Fit for the Long-term Care Industry

Plan A Long Term Care Staffing and Recruitment was founded in 2011 when owner Sheri Tomchick recognized the need for a staffing solution in long term care homes. By providing local nurses and personal support workers with short-term employment shifts in long-term care facilities throughout the Sudbury area, Plan A ensured long term residents were cared for and employees of the homes were supported.

Using their own proprietary automated scheduling technology StaffStat, the company has seen significant growth in a small period of time and now employs 400 experienced health care professionals in 14 Ontario locations.

Sheri was the winner of NORCAT’s inaugural PITCH competition in 2014, and went on to receive the 2014 Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce Bell Business Excellence Awards and 2016 Entrepreneur of the Year at the Influential Women of Northern Ontario Awards.
