Give your new hires the right first impression by delivering a comprehensive employee onboarding experience. Employee onboarding is the orientation process where the organization has the opportunity to convey the organization’s expectations of all its employees.
Through elearning, virtual reality or instructor led experiences, the new hire will learn the work culture, safety policies, regulations and work behaviours that will set them up for success within the organization. NORCAT can help you design a custom onboarding program that will ensure your internal policies and procedures are delivered and recorded.
In Ontario alone, 80 people are injured every day in a fall at work; 34% of these falls are from heights.
Our CPO-approved Working at Heights program (WAH-34585) provides workers with the knowledge and understanding to perform work safely at heights and to know their legislative rights. Training is valid for 3 years.
The Working at Heights full-day program provides consistent, quality training for workers required to work at heights. The curriculum and delivery is comprised of both theory and practical hands-on instruction under the direction of a qualified instructor. The theory and practical modules are compulsory for workers who use travel restraint systems, fall restricting systems, fall arrest protection systems or safety nets.
In order for workers to maintain their validity of training, workers must successfully complete refresher training within 3 years of previous Working at Heights training. This Refresher program will reinforce key learning outcomes for workers and will also keep learners up-to-date on any legislative, regulatory or equipment changes which may impact working at heights in construction.
Elevated Work Platform Training covers push around lifts, scissor lifts and boom lifts. This comprehensive program is designed in two parts to provide theoretical and practical training to facilitate compliance for workers using this type of equipment.
Theory training covers the following:
The world’s first augmented reality (AR) fire extinguisher training tool. FiAR brings extinguisher training to a new level of realism.
