NORCAT, a global leader in the development and provision of skilled labour training and innovation services, is excited to announce it has been selected as a provider of services under WSIB’s new Health and Safety Excellence Program. As an approved provider, NORCAT’s team of health and safety experts will deliver services to help members develop and implement programs in order to create safer and healthier workplaces.
WSIB’s new Health and Safety Excellence Program is a performance-based rewards program that integrates the strengths of their previous WSIB Small Business, Safety Groups and Workwell programs and provides a clear roadmap for companies to improve workplace safety. Businesses that are successful in the program will earn rebates and other non-financial recognition for their investment in health and safety, and will ultimately help make Ontario a healthier and safer place to work.

As an approved provider for the WSIB Health and Safety Excellence Program, NORCAT offers a number of benefits to registered companies, including access to mentorship, support and guidance from experienced consultants, opportunities to network and share best practices with like-minded businesses, expert advice on completing and improving workplace assessments, and an improvement in health and safety culture in the workplace, resulting in fewer injuries and illnesses leading to increased productivity and morale.
NORCAT will be establishing Excellence Program Chapters representing various geographical areas throughout Ontario. Chapters provide program services, educational and networking opportunities for the mining, forestry, pulp and paper, automotive, construction, healthcare, education, government, manufacturing, transportation and retail and service industries.
In addition, NORCAT will be hosting open house tours of their new location at 151 Superior Blvd., Suite 8-10, in Mississauga, ON featuring additional information regarding the WSIB Health and Safety Excellence Program. The open house will run from 11:00am - 4:00pm on January 22nd and 8:00am - 4:00pm on January 23rd, with a grand opening ceremony taking place at 10am on January 22nd.
