NORCAT Named Finalist in Two Categories for International VR Awards

SUDBURY, Ont. — NORCAT has been announced as a finalist for two prestigious Virtual Reality (VR) Awards for 'Outstanding Company of the Year' and 'Education and Training Solution of the Year' for the development of Certi-Fire VR. This international recognition is bestowed upon companies who have pushed the boundaries of what is possible, creating practical and innovative uses of VR in education and training across various industries.

Certi-Fire VR has redefined standard professional fire alarm system training and certifications across Ontario by providing immersive experiences that enhance learning and skill development. The technology allows users to engage in realistic scenarios, simulating lab exercises practical tests while in VR. The interactive nature of the platform ensures that learners gain practical experience in a safe and controlled environment.

The awards are presented by the Academy of International Extended Reality (AIXR), a globally recognized organization dedicated to promoting excellence in extended reality technologies. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on November 30, 2023.
